Pichilemu, Chile

Hola mis amigos,
Wow......I ask someone to pinch me every day since I have arrived as in some ways it doesn't seem real that this is the path of my life....that I am here in South America again after only being back in the states for just over 5 months. It is such a beautiful thing to know without a doubt that I am right where God wants me to be. I was soooo blessed to spend my first week there with my friend Yanet and her family who I know from Uruguay last year. She is a missionary in UY, but returned to Chile to be with family over the holidays and invited me to visit before I started my school. (Photos above are from this time)

I arrived here in Pichilemu 5 days ago after a 3 1/2 hr. bus ride from Santiago. As the bus came over one of the last hills we climbed, I looked out the window at a forest of tall pines, and when I looked out the other side, I couldn't believe I was looking at the ocean. This place has both trees, and the ocean and is very beautiful. The wind blows strong most of the time, and the sand on the beach which is just a 10-15 min. walk, is black.

There are 23 of us in my Discipleship Training School, and we from many countries...Switzerland, England, Venezuela, Columbia, Equador, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Netherlands, & Uruguay. We have a very demanding schedule with only an hour of tiempo libre (free time), each day and possibly 2-3 hrs. free on weekends. Needless to say, blogging won't be frequently. Our school will prepare all the meals for the base on Saturdays so much of that day will be in the kitchen.

We have to turn in assignments each week that will require alot of work and time with God outside of our "seminary" lectures. We are focusing on Knowing God, and hearing His voice right now. I'm so excited to know beyond a doubt that this will be an incredible time of REALLY developing intimacy with God, and understanding more of His character....Tremendous!

Tomorrow we will travel to Santiago for 3 days for a huge renunion of all the YWAM bases from 5 Countries. We will sleep in tents and share, learn, and worship together. Not really sure what will go on but it will be excited to be united with so many others who also love God and are desiring to serve as missionaries.
Anyway, Above are also some photos from our first days here where we got to go to the beach, and learn a bit about this place. Blessings to all of you and thanks again for your prayers and support.
In God's amazing love,
Holly
